Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the RoutineCanvas mobile application ("the App") developed by Heinrich Hermann. By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. License to Use

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes on devices you own or control, subject to these Terms and the applicable app store terms.

You may not:

Copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works of the App.
Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App.
Remove or alter any proprietary notices or labels.
Use the App for any unlawful purpose.

2. Free Tier and Subscriptions

RoutineCanvas offers a free tier and optional paid subscriptions:

Free tier — You may track up to 5 habits at no cost, with no time limit.
Monthly subscription — Unlocks all features, billed monthly. Automatically renews unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.
Yearly subscription — Unlocks all features, billed annually. Automatically renews unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.
Lifetime purchase — A one-time payment that unlocks all features permanently.

Subscription prices are displayed in the App and may vary by region. Prices may change, but changes will not affect active subscription periods.

3. Payment and Billing

All payments are processed through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. By subscribing, you authorize the respective store to charge your selected payment method. Your subscription will automatically renew unless you cancel it through your device's subscription settings.

4. Refunds

Refund requests are handled by the platform through which you made the purchase:

Google Play Store — Request a refund through the Google Play refund process

We do not process refunds directly, as all billing is managed by Apple and Google.

5. Your Data

You retain full ownership of all data you create within the App. Your data is stored locally on your device and, if you choose, encrypted and backed up to your personal cloud storage. We do not access, collect, or store your habit data. Please refer to our Privacy Policy for full details.

6. Availability and Updates

We strive to keep the App available and up-to-date, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may release updates that modify features, fix bugs, or change functionality. Continued use after an update constitutes acceptance of any changes.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:

The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied.
We do not warrant that the App will be error-free, uninterrupted, or free of harmful components.
In no event shall Heinrich Hermann be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from your use of or inability to use the App.
Our total liability for any claim arising from or related to the App shall not exceed the amount you paid for the App in the 12 months preceding the claim, or $50 USD, whichever is greater.

8. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Heinrich Hermann from any claims, losses, damages, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your misuse of the App or violation of these Terms.

9. Termination

You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it and, if applicable, cancelling your subscription. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access to the App if you violate these Terms.

10. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Germany, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Germany.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. If a change is material, we will make reasonable efforts to notify you (for example, through an in-app notice).
